BETHESDA'S REAL ESTATE
The Bethesda area has grown fast and more dense in
spots since the 1980's. There are many new single family homes ,
townhouses, and condos..
Bethesda is attractive to many people for
it's access to several Metro stops, diversified shopping (including
Montgomery Mall and nearby Mazz Galleria). Most homes are single
family homes, but there are also many apartments in the urbanized
core. Evidence of a booming market is shown in the achievement of
a billion (with a 'b') dollars worth of real estate sold in 2002
by a single realty office..
There is a large number of doctors in Bethesda, and also Suburban
Hospital, the Bethesda Naval Hospital, and NIH offices.
